Acceptable Use Policy

Use Icarus Worksfor what it’s built for — understanding and improving your own business’s AI-search visibility. Don’t use it to harm others, break the law, or abuse the platform. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Icarus Works — the website, the free check, the Command Center, the AI assistant, and any API or agency workspace. It supplements, and is incorporated into, the Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Submit domains or content you are not authorized to analyze or optimize.
  • Use the service to violate any law or infringe any third-party right.
  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content.
  • Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Resell, sublicense, or copy the service except under a permitted white-label/agency arrangement.
  • Use the service to generate spam, deceptive SEO, or manipulative content intended to mislead people or engines.

3. Our AI systems

When you use our AI features, you agree not to attempt prompt-injection, jailbreaks, or other manipulation of our AI systems; extract training data or system prompts; or use outputs to build a competing model. AI output is informational and may be wrong — review it before relying on it (see our AI & Automation Disclosure).

4. Sites and businesses we analyze

Our audits examine publicly availableinformation about a domain. We do not bypass authentication or paywalls, we rate-limit our requests, and we collect only business information — not personal data beyond what a public business listing contains. If you operate a site we’ve analyzed and want to be excluded, email support@icarusworks.ai and we’ll honor the request.

5. Security & integrity

  • Don’t probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our written permission (see coordinated disclosure on our Security page).
  • Don’t circumvent rate limits, authentication, or usage quotas.
  • Don’t interfere with or disrupt the service, its infrastructure, or other users.
  • Don’t use automated means to overload the service or scrape it.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action we consider appropriate — including cooperating with law enforcement. We aim to be fair and proportionate, but protecting the platform and its users comes first.
